Authentic. Daring. Unpredictable.

Todd Crites is an industry-leading, documentary film & television lead editor who’s career has spanned over three-decades editing music videos, promos, commercials, pitch sizzles, show teases, athlete profiles, sports documentaries, true-crime, horror, and scores of randomly cool stuff like, additional editing for the feature film, “Divinity”. He has been trusted to tell stories with some of the biggest names in sports: Floyd Mayweather, Ronda Rousey, Ray Lewis, BJ Penn, Mike Tyson, Wayne Gretzky and Mikaela Shiffrin to name only but a few. Todd has edited both Gymnastic and Figure skating teases and athlete profiles on site at six Olympic Games for NBC Sports. He’s edited three documentary films for the celebrated, Peabody winning franchise: "30 for 30", for ESPN Films, including, “Kings Ransom”, directed by Peter Berg, and served as lead editor on the acclaimed series, “Beyond The Glory” for Fox Sports, including the Emmy nominated, “Mike Tyson: The Demons Inside”. Outside of his prolific work in sports television, Todd edited multiple episodes for the top-rated true-crime series, “American Gangster: Trap Queens” for BET+, Paramount’s true-crime limited series, “It Was Him: The Many Murders of Ed Edwards”, and just recently, Peacock’s hybrid-horror series,  “John Carpenter’s Suburban Screams”.

Todd  brings a positive, easy-going and enthusiastic attitude into every project, whether the task at hand be emotional true-crime, rapid-paced sports montage, heart pounding horror, archive-heavy documentary, or fly-on-the-wall cinéma vérité, he's always adapting his craft to push the boundaries in clever new ways to tell the most compelling narratives. His razor sharp eye for pacing, attentive ear for sound design, acuteness to music, and a deep-rooted love for the art of editing makes Todd an exceptional addition to any project.

Avid Media Composer is his preferred tool of choice.

"I thrive best when there are no rules or boundaries, just a willingness to create something great, where it’s okay to be unpredictable. I approach my craft with an open heart that I believe allows the story and its characters to be the most

authentic it can be — “the footage never lies.”  I believe collaboration makes the best cut. I consider the primary goal

as an editor (besides make it play) is to exceed the expectations of those who hire me,

but only after I have exceeded my own - the highest bar I know."
